The person in this position will be expected to assist with the day-to-day support activities in the network-support section and the network engineering department.
The support activities this employee will provide are:
Ethernet cabling in the computer rooms and office areas
Video-conferencing support
Router and switch configurations
LAN and WAN support and troubleshooting
IP telephony support, configuration & maintenance
Workstation support
Conferencing tools support
Audio/visual support
One year or more of college with a major/minor in Information Science, Computer Science or Engineering
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree
Able to work 20-25 hours per week
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in small project teams
Positive can-do attitude required
The candidate will be expected to have basic knowledge of Cisco hardware, basic knowledge of workstation hardware, basic knowledge of LAN protocols and various WAN connectivity options. The candidate will also occasionally be expected to work late and on weekends to complete tasks during non-business hours.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
