Responsibilities:
Receptionist Greet patients warmly upon arrival.
Verify patients' insurance information 2 days prior to appointment Assist in scheduling appointments for patients and physicians.
Answer patient inquiries over the phone and in person.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
File documents appropriately.
Handle phone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff.
Verify patient data and insurance information for accurate billing.
Clinical 1.
Rooming patients and getting accurate history 2.
Preparing rooms for suture/staple removal 3.
Preparing charts for upcoming appointments (inputting medications, images from outside agencies and preparing chart prior to appointment) 4.
Supplying rooms with appropriate materials 5.
Be able to be trained for brace placement 6.
Preparing injections for provider
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma Orthopedic experience preferred but not required Desired Skills:
Familiarity with:
HIPAA regulations Medical terminology ICD-10 and CPT coding Basic Medical Assistant principles and practices Clerical functions Computer scheduling functions EMR experience preferred
Experience:
Demonstrated ability to:
Maintain updated documentation for daily operations.
Communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, and outside vendors.
Handle sensitive and confidential data (such as HIPAA compliance) Job Type:
