Social Worker

SOCIAL WORKER We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our team and assist the Bureau of Indian Affairs in eastern Montana.
This is a full-time contract position with the actual work to be performed on designated Indian Reservations in eastern Montana.
This pilot program has been in place for a while and has shown great potential for the future, as it addresses an under-served population with great need for social services.
The work will take place on specific reservations and your deployments will be a minimum of 30 days at a time, but could be more at your discretion, with a 7-10 day break between deployments.
The position includes paid travel to and from your home to where you will be working, as well as paid lodging, transportation and a generous per diem for meals and incidentals while on site.
The opportunity is very non-traditional, but the work and the need are very much in demand.
You will work closely with the existing social services staff as well as local and regional BIA personnel to ensure proper delivery of services to the Native American residents of the reservations and you will have a great deal of independence to create your own schedule and daily routine.
While this would be a good opportunity for almost any social worker, it could be very attractive to either those who enjoy travel and new experiences, or certainly for retirees who want to augment their income.
While an MSW is ideal, a BSW or equivalent will be considered.
Must be a U.
S.
citizen and be able to pass a federal background check.
