Open to the Public Special Instructions to ApplicantsWe are accepting applications for potential teaching needs in the area of osteopathic manipulative medicine on the Athens, Cleveland, and Dublin, Ohio campuses for the academic year 2023-2024.
Applications to this pool will be considered to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible instructor positions.
The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing.
If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

Posting Number 20162219F Job DescriptionThe Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU- HCOM ) is seeking Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine ( OMM ) physicians for intermittent faculty teaching positions on the Athens, Cleveland, and Dublin Campuses.
Applicants should possess a strong desire to teach and advise osteopathic medical students within the curriculum and contribute to the success of the Heritage College through teaching and service.
Candidates must have outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to relate to a diverse faculty, staff, students and community members.
Successful applicants will have special interest and qualifications in the practice and teaching of osteopathic principles and manipulative medicine.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prepare and deliver curricular and other scholarly activities.
Teach courses assigned to the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine ( OMM ).
Participate in ongoing programs and program development of the Department of OMM including pre- and postdoctoral training and other scholarly activities as appropriate.
Teach the clinical application of osteopathic principles and manipulative medicine in ambulatory and hospital-based practices.
Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an American Osteopathic Association ( AOA )-approved osteopathic collegeSatisfactory completion of an AOA -approved internship and AOA -approved residency programBoard eligible for or Board certified by the AOA Ohio Licensure or credentials allowing same DEA LicensureApplicants must meet all criteria to be considered eligible for clinical practice.
Preferred QualificationsAdditional certification or eligibility for certification by the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal MedicineDepartment HCOM - Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Pay RatePay is commensurate with experience and credentials and is accompanied by an excellent retirement plan with up to a 14% company contribution, and paid time off.
