We are searching for someone that is dedicated to helping others in the role of a Legal Assistant.
Our ideal Legal Assistant will be responsible to manage a wide range of responsibilities as they help to support our clients.
This role works closely with our attorneys in order to complete the documents that we have been contracted to compile for our clients.
As our Legal Assistant, you will be in meetings with our clients talking about the important documents that you are collecting and the need to provide certain specific information.
In addition, our Legal Assistant will also be responsible for clerical work regarding the client's documents.
To be successful in the role you have to be able to explain financial documents (such as IRA statements, bank account documents, life insurance policies, etc.
) and the desired outcomes to the clients in an easy-to-understand manner.
In a manner, you will be educating our clients on various important topics.
You will be working on drafting documents, gathering information about the client's financial details, and holding meetings with clients to ensure that the correct information is in the client's file.
This position is very customer service orientated and requires attention to detail and the understanding of how to communicate with others regarding private, sensitive information.
Success in this position requires that you display a combination of efficiency, proactivity, and enthusiasm.
In this role, you will be front-facing and interacting with our clients on a daily bases.
Responsibilities o Communicate with clients and other parties to provide timely updates and to gather necessary information regarding a client's personal assets.
o Communicate with clients and other parties to answer non-legal questions about the status of the case.
o Monitor case processes, deadlines, and important timeframes and milestones.
o Educate clients about the needs of certain items and how they work together with their case.
o Assist attorneys to prepare and carry out funding plans.
o Manage, prepare, and carry out funding plans, including contacting financial institutions to correct record client data.
o Prioritizes conflicting needs and handles matters expeditiously and proactively.
o Understand client files in order to review them before closing to ensure that all tasks have been completed and that there is nothing else needed for the file.
o Follows through on projects for successful and timely completion.
o Greats visitors to the office, making sure that they feel welcomed.

Qualifications o An Associate's degree or some college is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
o Strong customer service experience.
o Ability to read and understand financial documents.
o Ability to communicate professionally to all different levels of individuals, providing or receiving instructions.
o Ability to analyze information and understand how to report the information to others.
o High levels of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
o Effective worker - possessing the ability to complete detailed-orientated work efficiently.
o Understanding of basic computer skills, including MS Office programs, and can quickly learn new programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
