Dublin, OH Dublin, OH Full-time Full-time $18 - $23 an hour $18 - $23 an hour Position Summary Competent collections representative responsible for preparation, analysis and invoicing of provider due balances based on established MNS contracts.
Thorough understanding of collections is required to determine and communicate status of past due accounts.
Essential Functions Preparation, analysis and invoicing of provider due balances Ability to analyze new and existing receivable accounts to determine correct balances and communicate and apply corrections where necessary Reconciliation of aging account balances with internal departments Communicate and report to management monthly regarding aging balances Maintain a turnaround time of 24 hours for internal requests and inquiries Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all communications with internal customers Continue provider collection process in conjunction with Director of Finance and Accounting Understand and ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
Demonstrate excellent customer service attitude Demonstrate working knowledge of Finance department's processes Ensure accounts are adequately documented when information is requested from providers Crosstrain with co-workers in completion of critical tasks during times of peak case loads Participates as a team member within Finance department and with all MNS departments Attend education classes as required Attend departmental meetings and company meetings as requested Work on special projects as needed Protect and safeguard all patient, facility, and insurance information confidentiality Ability to prioritize workload Excellent verbal and written skills Practiced at telephone etiquette Able to follow written and oral instructions Able to type proficiently and effective use of a ten-key calculator Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent customer service Authority, Report Preparation Ability to prioritize workflow Work with little supervision Reports to the Director of Finance and Accounting Specifications:
Mental/Physical/Appearance Able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner Able to function independently Able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 20 lbs Develop and maintain a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within MNS Communicate tactfully with personnel, peers and management Create and maintain a professional atmosphere and a positive attitude Experience, Education, Training as Required Must possess at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2-years collections experience Medical office and/or collection experience preferred Ability to prioritize workload Excellent verbal and written skills Able to follow written and oral instructions Able to type proficiently and effective use of a ten-key calculator Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent customer service Job Type:
